Valentine’s Day với sự góp mặt của các ngôi sao: Ashton Kutcher, Jessica Alba, Jennifer Garner, Anne Hathaway, Julia Roberts, Jamie Foxx, Queen Latifah, Jessica Biel, Shirley MacLaine, Taylor Swift, Taylor Lautner.... cùng tính "mùa vụ" của nó đã giúp cho bộ phim này hút tới 2/3 lượng khán giả đến rạ. Bắt đầu công chiếu hôm 12/2, sau 3 ngày ra mắt, Valentine’s Day đã thu về 52,4 triệu USD riêng tại khu vực Bắc Mỹ, phá vỡ kỷ lục Ghost Rider đã xác lập vào dịp Valentine 2007. Vừa ra mắt nhưng Valentine’s Day đã kịp đẩy quán quân của tuần trước là bộ phim tình cảm lãng mạn Dear John xuống tận vị trí thứ 5 trong top 10 phim ăn khách. Trong khi đó, bộ phim giả tưởng Percy Jackson vốn được coi là kẻ kế cận Harry Potter chỉ xếp hạng 2. Chiến thắng của Valentine’s Day được cho là phần lớn nhờ cái tên của chính bộ phim. Cho dù không có nhiều ngôi sao tham gia đến vậy thì bộ phim cũng vẫn ăn khách như thường, đặc biệt vào ngày 14/02. Đạo diễn của bộ phim này là Garry Marshall, người đã từng thành công với câu chuyện tình lãng mạn Pretty Woman (Người đàn bà đẹp) nên cũng không có gì ngạc nhiên khi Valentine’s Day lại hấp dẫn người xem đến vậy.
