Crap sources everywhere for this movie! This project drove me close to insanity as I ended up with 71 files from all sources that needed each to be converted to raw .h264 and appended in MKVmerge and then check the resulted file for any problems where the files merged each other… I was in for a few surprises a couple of times and had the redo the whole thing. 3 different sources with 3 different sets of colors… I usually don’t do this, but this movie seriously needed it. Fortunately, the color difference is very slight and barely noticeable. And considering I was careful to cut only when the scene changed, very few will be able to notice a color difference. A rundown of the sources (the way I see them): US: too reddish, moderate banding in some dark scenes, destroyed details due to lack of bitrate – would have easily been the best source with proper bitrate and settings FRE: too greenish, a shitload of banding in dark scenes, a mess of a source… don’t understand how people proclaimed it the best of them all; besides the horrible banding, it does have nice details GER: too blueish, very little banding in dark scenes, overall best background detail (with some exceptions), it’s not as dark as the others due to some stupid setting the studio used, but its biggest flaw by far is the incredibly retarded dirt filter used on the entire movie… that seriously fucked up the movie in many places and I did my best to fix it GER was mostly used because it’s overall the best source for this movie, the way I see it. And it also has no hardcoded subs. I’ve added 48 black frames at the beginning in order to perfectly sync video with US audio. This also means that any subs synced to US/CEE will be in sync with this remux. I've OCR'd English sub from US disc, removed annoying SDH parts and added the missing 30 lines which were initially hardcoded, for a complete English sub. OCR'd English sub only for German spoken parts has also been added. Since it was available and it’s my native language, I’ve OCR'd Romanian sub, corrected it and perfectly resynced it. Comparison ...: There's no clear winner for this movie... all sources are pure crap, each with his own flaws: => US: too reddish, moderate banding in some dark scenes, destroyed details due to lack of bitrate – would have easily been the best source with proper bitrate and settings => FRE: too greenish, a shitload of banding in dark scenes, a mess of a source… don’t understand how people proclaimed it the best of them all; besides the horrible banding, it does have nice details => GER: too blueish, very little banding in dark scenes, overall best background detail (with some exceptions), it’s not as dark as the others due to some stupid setting the studio used, but its biggest flaw by far is the incredibly retarded dirt filter used on the entire movie… that seriously fucked up the movie in many places and I did my best to fix it FRE (28253 kbps) vs. GER (23898 kbps) vs. US/CEE (14979 kbps) SCREENS: Full Screenshots: Link tải phim Nhấn nút Cảm ơn (dưới chân bài) để thấy link!
