The Chinese BD was mostly used for its high video bitrate and significantly better PQ, almost no banding/blocking compared to USA/EUR BD, especially in darks and gradients. Brighter scenes had similar PQ. CHN was 2min shorter because of nudity and political censorship: the red from the Vietnamese flags and officers uniforms was changed to purple. Some short sequences were literally different in both sources, so the hybrid was done with the USA edition in mind. It was a nightmare to cut and join (total of 71 trims). Subtitles were gathered from the USA and EUR BD's. The mkv contains 35 tracks, so it will not play with and old version of Haali splitter (max 32 tracks) and maybe some hardware devices. If you get problems, use the most recent Haali; even with that, subtitles might not show up in sync. The best is to use LAV splitter. Alternatively, remove some of the subtitles and remux. This remux is Blu-ray compatible, you can build a BD with it using tsMuxeR.
