The McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet is a supersonic, all-weather carrier-capable multirole fighter jet, designed to dogfight and attack ground targets. The F/A-18 was derived from the YF-17 in the

1970s for use by the United States Navy and Marine Corps. The Hornet is also used by the air forces of several other nations. It has been the aerial demonstration aircraft for the U.S. Navy's Flight

The greatest sea battle of World War Two destroyed two of the finest warships ever built and claimed the lives of almost 3,500 men. Sixty years later, Channel 4 mounted an ambitious underwater expedition, led by David Mearns. Its aim to locate the wrecks and solve the mysteries surrounding HMS Hood and Bismarck. This final epic battle is recounted through the eyes of the survivors.
The mighty Hood was considered the greatest warship afloat. Over two world wars, HMS Hood was the biggest, fastest, most powerful and arguably the most beautiful ship afloat. Nothing could challenge her... until Bismarck.

The invincible Bismarck was a state-of-the art battleship and Germany's challenge to Britain's supremacy at sea. Launched in February 1939, she carried a daunting array of firepower, including no less than eight 15' guns.

The loss of Hood prompted Churchill's famous response: 'Sink the Bismarck'. For the next three days every available allied ship and plane hunted the German warship until, at 10:40 on 27 May 1941, the mighty Bismarck rolled over and sank. These two great warships became inextricably linked in history for evermore.

...Vào khoảng 05 giờ 30 phút sáng thứ Bảy, 24 tháng 5 năn 1941, khi hải đội Đức sắp sửa rời khỏi eo biển Đan Mạch, hệ thống dò âm dưới nước của chiếc Prinz Eugen phát hiện sự hiện diện của hai tàu chiến ở một khoảng cách nào đó về bên mạn trái. Đến 05 giờ 45 phút cả hai đều được nhìn thấy, cho dù lực lượng Đức không thể nhận diện ra lực lượng đối phương. Đó chính là một lực lượng tác chiến Anh bao gồm chiếc thiết giáp hạm mới Prince of Wales và chiếc tàu chiến-tuần dương cũ Hood dưới quyền chỉ huy của Chuẩn Đô đốc Lancelot Holland. Air Force Pararescuemen are the most highly trained combat search and rescue experts in US Special Operations. When a pilot goes down behind enemy lines, these are the experts who stop at nothing to get him out. Nicknamed "PJ's" for, "parajumpers," they are also surgically trained combat medics.

Full training to become a PJ takes more than two years. Early on, students must survive one notoriously difficult milestone called "Extended Training Day" designed to weed out anyone not up to the staggering demands of the PJ job. It's 24 hours of pure hell: nothing else in any special operations training course rivals the torment of this single day. In the end, only nine men out of 100 survive the cut and are allowed to continue training as a PJ.
