In my singing career, 1 have different albums with: ethno-jazz (Balkanatolia, Illusory Eternity), modem jazz (Chamber Music Life, Paris Zagreb), Russian/ Gypsy romance songs (Marcanja), Children's songs (Songs For Young and Old), mixes of different musical styles (Voice of Rainbow, my last album 30 Years On Stage), etc. However, I never had one with only classical jazz standards. For me, jazz is the music of the free soul. The songs I have chosen for this album are those that I have sung during my years of musical education in the musical academy and conservatory, outside my belcanto/classical training. These wonderful songs are writing in the begging and middle of the past century (20thC), have become classics that are loved and listening to by a few generations. This Is music written with love, which we modern people especially need.
